Research Areas
The current research areas of interest for the members of Infolab include (among others) the following topics:
- In the area of databases: topics related to agricultural experts knowledge representation, organisation, management and reasoning; spatiotemporal databases and their applications for agricultural information
- In the area of networking and Internet architecture: topics related to computer networking, remote sensor networks and their applications for environment and agriculture
- In the area of information systems and e-services: topics related to the application of information systems, decision support methods, and Word Wide Web technologies to support agriculture and rural development.
In general, the research and education activities of Infolab cover all applications of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in agriculture, food, environment, and rural development.
